Loaner Program

As a courtesy, and for the convenience of our Akron/Canton transmission repair shop customers, Jim and Sons Transmission offers free rides to work or home if your vehicle needs dropped off for service.

We also have loaner cars on site for $22.50 per day if our customers should need further transportation needs.

Insurance regulation stipulate that drivers of our loaner cars are to be a minimum of 25 years of age. The customer driving the vehicle is required to show a valid drivers license, credit/debit card, in addition to providing proof of insurance before leaving our facility.

The Jim and Sons Transmission loaner agreement stipulates that all drivers of the loaner vehicle are responsible for any and all charges incurred and against the loaner during the usage period, to include tolls, traffic violations charges and any damage to the vehicle.

Any body or other damage to a Jim and Sons Transmission loaner while in the customers possession is the sole responsibility of the customer. Customers are instructed and advised to contact your insurance company in the case which damage or an accident may have occurred, with consideration that your insurance company is the primary carrier.

A $5 per gallon fee will be charged when the loaner is not returned with the same level of gasoline as when it was checked out.

Please no smoking or pets permitted in loaner vehicle.
